Time flies! Isaac is 4 months old now! And to commemorate the occasion, i decided to bring Isaac for a haircut... ie... botak haircut! Chee Meng thought i was just saying that i'll cut him a botak head when he reach 4 months and didn't think that i would really do so. So after his haircut, i sent his daddy a picture of his botak head. Almost immediately Chee Meng called to lament that i really did that to his son and an hour later and during his lunchtime, dropped by to see his precious son. Chee Meng was a bit shocked at the hairless state of things but soon joined us in calling Isaac 'botak head'.
Well, the key reason why i wanted to shave Isaac's head is because his hair is falling and i can see little patches here and there. I rather we start with a clean skinhead so that his hair can grow evenly. And besides, Isaac does not have a head full of hair which would of course make the botakness even more apparent. As my dad says, it doesn't make much difference whether Isaac is botak or not:)
So on 7 Jan, which is his 4th month according to the lunar calendar, an army of 3 comprising my dad, my mum and me trotted down to the hair salon for the 'shave of the century'. And boy, it wasn't an easy shave. Isaac was wriggling and moving every second and the hairdresser had to be very very careful lest he hurt him and his scalp. Part 1 - I held Isaac, while my mum and dad distracted him. Part 2 - My mum held Isaac, my dad offered his finger for Isaac to suckle and i was on standby to prevent hair from falling onto his face. And at the end of the entire session, my dad's finger and shirt were full of Isaac's saliva, while my mum and I had hair all over us. Isaac was also getting a little impatient and clearly in need of a bath, which he got one the moment we reached home. I will post pictures of the little botak when i get home to my laptop tonight. He actually looks quite cute in his new haircut!
Isaac also went for his second round of jabs last week. And for once, my heart cried when Dr Ngiam administered the second shot, which is more biting. Aiyoh, he burst out in tears when the needle went in. So poor thing. And again, Chee Meng did not bear to witness the jabbing process but told me that he felt like crying when he saw his son in tears. Awwwww....
We went back to see Dr Ngiam again, as a form of follow-up as he did the first round of jabs for Isaac. The good thing about Dr Ngiam is that his appointments are usually on time which meant that we did not have to spend much time waiting around for our turn. Everything is settled within half an hour. There's another round of jabs for Isaac in 6 weeks' time and i've already made appointments with Dr Ngiam for it. Let's see if we want to switch to Dr Ngiam or return to Dr YY Yip after the jabs are completed.
Let's see:)

Same as issac, when he had his jab on Tue, the first jab was ok, but the second one he burst into tears....haha, of course we wont behave like your hubby lah....cos this is dunno hoe many times we bring our kids for jabs. His next appointment on 17/2 also, and at 4 and half mths, he weighs 6.3kg. I asked Dr Ngiam if this boy is under weight, he said its normal...phew.
